StoryBreak Standards
Editorial Standards
StoryBreak is committed to producing clear, accurate and useful news coverage. These standards explain how we approach sourcing, verification, corrections, technology and editorial judgment.
Accuracy
Accuracy is a core editorial priority. Before publication, StoryBreak seeks to confirm key facts using credible source material and available supporting information.
When facts are still developing, we aim to make clear what is confirmed, what is being reported by others and what remains uncertain.
Sourcing
StoryBreak may draw from primary documents, official statements, government agencies, public records, company announcements, established news organizations and other credible sources.
Source material is evaluated in context. A single report or claim is not treated as confirmed simply because it has been published elsewhere.
Original Presentation and Context
StoryBreak aims to provide readers with a clear and useful presentation of the news rather than simply reproducing source material. Our coverage may combine information from multiple sources, explain background, summarize developments and add context that helps readers understand why a story matters.
Artificial Intelligence
StoryBreak uses artificial intelligence and other technology to assist with parts of the editorial workflow. This may include identifying potential stories, organizing source material, supporting research, generating drafts, summarizing information and assisting with headlines or metadata.
AI-generated output is not automatically treated as fact. StoryBreak remains responsible for editorial decisions and for reviewing material before publication.
Headlines and Images
Headlines should accurately reflect the substance of the story and should not intentionally mislead readers.
Images may include licensed photography, properly attributed source images, public-domain material, or original and AI-generated illustrations where appropriate. Illustrations should not be presented in a way that falsely implies they are documentary photographs of an event.
Corrections
When StoryBreak identifies a meaningful factual error, we aim to correct it promptly. Articles may also be updated as additional verified information becomes available.
Readers may request a correction by emailing StoryBreak and providing the article URL, the information they believe is incorrect and, when possible, supporting evidence.

Breaking news can change quickly. Early reports may be incomplete or later revised by authorities, companies, witnesses or other sources. StoryBreak may update published coverage as more reliable information becomes available.
Editorial Independence
Editorial coverage should not be determined by advertisers, sponsors or commercial partners. Paid relationships, affiliate arrangements or sponsored material should be distinguished from independent editorial coverage when applicable.
Fairness and Attribution
StoryBreak aims to represent material claims fairly and attribute information to the appropriate sources. When a story involves disputed facts or competing accounts, we seek to make those distinctions clear rather than presenting unresolved claims as settled fact.
